URGENT HELP! Applying for OPT with passport renewal under process

Hi all,

I have a tight situation here. I am graduating in December 2014 and I have to apply for OPT soon (end of program date is December 20th). However, I recently gave my passport for renewal as it will be expiring in May 2015. It has been almost a month since I submitted my passport for renewal and I still didn't get back any news (Indian consulate at NY). So can I send my OPT documents with a copy of my old passport and proof of application for renewal ?? I can wait for at most a week but not beyond that - to get back my passport.

both the ways works with in 60 days of completion you hve to submit your opt application 1) you can apply by sending both the copy of passport and renewal doc

You can definitely apply with a pending passport application.
