OPT extension, but company not E-verified

e-verify is a free service and easy to enroll. Maybe you can tell this to your HR and try to convince them. If NOT, the best would be to switch jobs or run your pay roll from a Desi Consultancy.

Hi,
Yes joining a new company is the best bet. Another option could be to apply for H-1B if the quota has not filled completely yet. But you need to keep in mind applying for H-1B, you would miss your OPT extension period and some advantages like getting additional tax returns. Hope this helps

OPT extension, but company not E-verified
Hi all,
I'm now working in a NYC company, and my opt expires on late January. I plan to extend my opt but my company refuses to join E-verify. Is finding a new job the only way to do in the next 2 months?
