Can i go to India after joining consultancy in OPT

My 12 month OPT starts on Nov 5th. I got my EAD card

Can i put my consultants name as my OPT employer and go to India for 3-4 weeks.

Will it still count as unemployment during my OPT or will it be counted as employment.

You should consult with your DSO. You may need to be put on payroll before you leave for this time not to count towards unemployment time.
