Travelling to India on OPT with non paid internship position

My OPT starts on Nov 1 and my Card went into production on Oct 27.

I want to travel to India as soon as i receive my card which i expect tor receive in few days.

I have two questions.

1.) I have joined a consultancy . Can i take the offer letter from the consultant and use it to enter US while coming back.
My position will be of a programmer analyst intern and it will be a non paid position. Will it still count as a valid employment opportunity.

1. Yes you can.
2. Yes, non paid job will be considered a valid employment opportunity while you are on initial 12 month OPT.

You can travel with no issues , but try to not to be in 90 days unemployment !!
