Travelling on OPT but before school ends

Hello All,

My Situation: I'm a master's student from CA. Applied my OPT and it went to post processing yesterday and got approved. My start date is in January, 2015. My graduation date in I20 is December 12 2014.

Question: I'm required to travel to India by Nov 16 and return in a week.
1. Is it advisable to travel?
2. Will it create any responses entry issue as my OPT is approved and my I 20th has work authorization request record.
3. If I have to travel what documents are needed?
4. I'm going to talk with mmy DSO, should I consult an immigration lawer?
Kindly advise on my situation.
