The H-1B cap is closed for this year. Every year, only 65,000 H-1B’s are available and is referred to as the “H-1B cap”. The H-1B cap is already filled for this year fiscal year (starts on October 1 and ends on September 30 of the next year). For the next fiscal year which starts on October 1, 2015, USCIS will start accepting applications on April 1, 2015 only. Even if you are offered a job and an employer is willing to wait until next October for you, you cannot stay in the U.S. and change your status as your B-2 will most likely end well before October 1, 2015. You will need to return home and wait for the H-1B to be approved.
Here are some information about the H-1B: http://www.visapro.com/H1B-Visa/H1B-Visa.asp. Here are also some information about getting an H-1B through a “cap exempt” employer: http://www.visapro.com/Immigration-A...s/?a=1090&z=48.
