Travelling TO India with pending OPT application and a job offer letter

Hi,
I have a very quick question. I'll be graduating this December with a job. However, I won't be getting my EAD card by then. So I'm planning to go to India during that period. Is it safe to travel with pending OPT application but with OPT i20 and a job offer letter? I tried to google this but couldn't find the required answer. I really appreciate any positive response.
