Hi ,

I did finished my H1 6 years Quota and my Green card is initial status .So I applied for change of status to F1 and Got query on F1 .I submitted to F1 Query .

My question is when I applied change of status from H1 to F1 and change of status is pending , please let me know the process for activation for SEVIS ID? or Before My case approval I have to do Sevis ID activation or After my case approved I have to I have to do Sevis ID activation.

Do not pay the SEVIS I-901 fee, if you already paid the SEVIS I-901 fee and are:
Reapplying for a visa within twelve months of the date of your initial SEVIS I-901 fee payment which is not your case... So pay the fee to get it activated ..

In order to change status to F-1, you should have gotten an I-20 and paid your SEVIS fee. Your student advisor should have advised you of that. IF you have paid the SEVIS fee, your SEVIS record should be activated. If there is a question about it, you should speak with your advisor or talk to an attorney.
