Partnership on CPT Legal?


Hi, I wanted to ask that I am a Masters student on F-1 and have completed my 1year of degree in Computer Science. I recently got an offer to work in a new small start up of just 5-6 persons and as it is a new start up they are willing to offer me partnership also as I will be one of their main developers. Will it be leagal for me to accept the partnership or I can just work as a employee their on my CPT?

1 if it is c class then yes ..

As an F1 you can be a passive partner in the company, therefore not work for the same company in which you have partnership.
