Transfer From MIS to CS

Hi Everyone,

My name is Raghava, got admitted to University of Nebraska at Omaha for Fall-2014 into Management Information Systems(MIS) and as i am having complications over here i want to transfer to any of the university in Kentucky as my cousins are residing over there so it will be convenient for me to stay over there and going to university.

Can u please help me out by clarifying my concerns i had

1) If we change from one course to other like example from MIS (university of Nebraska at omaha) to CS (University of Louisville) will there be any problem for OPT Or H1B visa?

2) Does university will accept the change of courses from MIS to CS?

1. Shouldn't be a problem
2. Depends upon the University policies. Contact the admissions department, they should be able to answer this question.

You will not have any issues and there are many universities that will accept you . There are chance that you have complete few more credit hours... Good Luck

Dont worry. It will not be a problem for opt or h1. If u dont have a CS background, the univ may ask u to complete some pre requisite courses. Contact the univ. Of louisville and they will guide u through the admission process.
