Hi All,
I was working for a firm during my OPT and was later asked to resign due to budget issues. I applied for a STEM Extension when I was still employed by my firm but before I could get my EAD card, I resigned. In order to get a STEM Extension, I joined a consultancy. Now my STEM card is in production(by USCIS) and my consultancy told me I would have to pay in order to generate a pay stub( almost 1000$- fed n state tax). My problem is I finished my 90 days unemployment period.
1. Do you think it is important to generate a pay stub by my consultancy when I am on my STEM Extension?
2. If I dont generate my pay stub, will I be illegal here in US?
3. Will this be a problem when I apply for my H1-B or green card?
