OPT Ending

Hello All,

I have done masters and used 29 months OPT which is ending this December and due to some reason i have not filed H1 B for this year and i want to enroll into another University for the Spring 2015. But Classes are beginning from jan 1st week and my opt is ending in mid of December.Can i Stay in the country till my classes start?

dude, at least u gotta know the basics... u have a grace period. thus, u can stay n transfer ur i20...

U can stay till 60 days after ur opt expires... Ur sevis will be active till 60 days.. in those 60 days u hv to get an i20 from a different college and transfer ur sevis to to that college.

You can stay 60 days after ending your opt extn but make sure that you transfer your Sevis before it terminates !

if transfer is done before it expiry .. u dont even need to use u r grace period ..
