OPT stem extension shows initial review from 70 days

yeah it took me around 120 days for my stem opt to get approved without RFE. Called USCISr twice and put a service request and the next day the status changed to card production. Probably you should try the same...

No need to worry about this.. I got my Stem extension after 90 days.

i applied to the same service center and it is going to be 90 days next week. mine is still in initial review too. i guess if it's RFE, it would be updated or you would be contacted.

I applied at the same time. Still waiting. Heard that they are taking around 90 days to issue the card. Their website also shows the same statistics.

Hi everyone,

U guys doing a great job , i would like to thank everyone for solving our queries.

I have applied for OPT stem extension on may 22nd to texas service center and still it shows as initial review, my opt 1 got expired in mid of july and
am worried as it shows the same from couple of months .

1) Can it be chances of RFE , is that the reason it is in initial review from so long ?
2) Is there anybody who applied for stem to same service center and still waiting for card from so long ?
