  • My US visa appointment in Canada

    Hello All,

I recently changed my employer in STEM and planning to visit Toronto/family next month. My STEM ends in June 2015. I have already applied and received my Canada tourism visa.

Has anyone recently been to Canada for a US visa appointment?

    I have the following questions
-What if I change my employer again before leaving, does this change anything on my I-20 or DS-160?
-What documents should I carry? I plan to take my passport, all I-20s and a copy, all EAD cards and a copy, originally used bank statements, current bank statement, letter from employer mentioning when I plan to resume work
-What should my first step be? I would think DS 160 is the first step, and does anyone know the waiting times for visa appointments in Eastern Canada?

    Thank you guys.
I look forward to reading responses.

        Sorry, I wasn't clear.

I am going to Toronto for personal work and would therefore need a visa to re enter the states (i don't want to use the AVR) . I do not have a valid visa in my passport. I changed my status from H4 to F1 before my program start date and did not travel outside the country after that.
