  • OPT delayed after Card Production

Hi, I applied for the OPT on April 18th, 2014 and my 3 months completed yesterday. My card is in production stage but hasn't been mailed yet. Since its been more than 90 days I emailed the international office at my university and they found out through there contacts at USCIS that my application shows "Reprocessing of biographic/biometric information" in their internal system. However, I cannot see this information on the website.
I was also looking for people who had a similar encounter but couldn't find any. Should I be worried? What can I do to make sure to get my OPT?
Also, I read about some service request, but I am not sure of what it is. It would be really helpful if someone can guide me through the next steps that I should take.

I am not sure about what a service request is.

What I understand is, if an action is not taken as promised by USCIS (receive the card within 30 days once it goes to production, in your case), you can call up the customer case and register a complaint (aka service request). USCIS requires 15 days (As per the policy) to act upon a service request.

I would call USCIS and confirm with representative If the information provided to you is correct .If You get a standard one line answer then you can get an InfoPass appointment and meet an officer for more information

I have called USCIS multiple times and all they say is to wait till August 2nd because the card production was ordered on July 2nd. I am worried that I might get the same answer at the InfoPass Appointment.

I had gone for an infopass appointment, but it didnot help much. But you can try setting up an appointment and see if the USCIS representative listens you out. At the same time you keep talking to international student office of your school. In my case they helped me get my ead.
