Hello,
I've applied for H-1B this year through employer A and got an RFE which needs to be answered by July 29th . The chances of my H1B getting approved is almost NIL due to some other reasons. I've my initial OPT valid until Oct 27th 2014. I got a job through a different employer now. So, I've asked my employer A to withdraw my H-1B (which is still in Pending status). I'm now planning to apply for my OPT Stem Extension for which I need a new i 20 from my DSO. I've heard that DSO cannot provide a new I20 if my H-1B is still in pending status. I was wondering how long will it take to get my SEVIS record updated after my H-1B is rejected/withdrawn? Please advise. Thanks in advance!
