[COLOR=#333333][FONT=Helvetica Neue]Hi, My OPT expired on the 6/30 and I applied for an OPT extension and the documents were received by USCIS on 6/23, although I have got no official confirmation of it yet. The HR team of my company wants a receipt of the application because my OPT has expired, but my understanding is the application only has to be submitted before the end of OPT. Has anyone been in this situation before or know what I should be doing in this situation?[/FONT][/COLOR]

You can call the USCIS customer service number , they can provide you the receipt number if it received ! -
U can submit ur company with the status print out and tell them that its under process. So they have a confirmation. And after that call up USCIS and request for expediate process for the same.Comment
