  • OPT card not received - More than 100 days

My OPT/ EAD application was received by USCIS (Texas center) in the first week of march.
It had gone into production stage on May 5th but after 30 days it went back into production again as on June 9th. I have an offer from a company which has given the start date on July 7th( got it postponed twice). But now they are asking me to produce the card asap. It's been more than 115 days since I applied for the EAD card. I spoke to several immigration officers through customer care and they told they are not sure about getting the card within the time frame mentioned in the case status and also told they cant do much since it is already in production. A service request forcefully was raised on June 10th and I got a mail from them saying that my card was approved on May 5th but was not produced. Please wait for 30 more days.My OPT start date was from June 6th. Please let me know if there are any possible steps to take so that I can get my OPT card.

Can you ask your International Office to help? I had a similar problem last year and asked my DSO to help. She emailed someone from USCIS and I got the card in the mail in less than a week after that. I'm not sure if you've already asked your university for help. That worked for me, so it doesn't hurt to try.
