Non - degree or Open course enrollment to MS degree...OPT possibility???
Hi everyone,
I am enrolling in a 1 year masters program. I am totally confused if there is a possibility to do OPT. Plzzzz help!!
Fall 2014 (on H4 ): Enrolled as Non-degree, will transfer these credits to MS program
Winter 2015 (on F1): Converted to full-time MS
Spring 2015 (on F1): Full time MS
I will be done with the course work in Spring, and completing Independent masters project in Summer. My question is:
1) Since I am enrolled in MS degree for only 2 quarters + Summer i.e. 9 months will I be eligible for OPT after graduating in Summer? Or do I need to be extend by enrolling in Fall too to be eligible for OPT?
2) Can I apply for Pre-completion OPT in Summer?
