  • I94 Expires soon.. valid F1 I20 and visa

I have valid F1 visa till 2016, and my passport expires in 2018.I am currently on my OPT and have valid i20.I reentered US before my final semester started in NYC port of entry and my I94 has expiry date of NOV 31 2014.How do i renew my I94?My opt expires on Feb 1 2015.What is my chance of staying in US?I read in many posts tat i94 doesn't have expiry date when you are in F1 visa status. But my I94 has expiry date of NOV 31 2014.Moreover i reentered USA during my last semester and not after graduating.

You should not have an end date. For F-1 students in the end date it always mentions D/S (Duration of Status). To validate and correct your I-94 you should visit Deferred Inspection Office of CBP and get it changed. Check on the CBP website the nearest office from you place of residence. Some deferred inspection sites require an appointment while others are walk-in on certain days.

Also, ask your university DSO to confirm this and availing most feasible advice....

I have been on F1 for 6 years, travel outside of US a few times every year and get a new i94 every time I enter the US again. It only has a stamp of the date when you entered. I have never seen an expiration date... Are you sure? Where is it located?

That I-94 expiration is not really an expiration, per se!
When you visit the I-94 retrieval website after that date, you will get a new I-94 form with a new expiration date. --- That's what I know, please correct me if I am wrong

F1 students will not have an end date on I94 it will be D/S( duration of status), you have to get it corrected by CBP
