  • Travel on Post-completion OPT

I have applied for OPT in the second week of April and the status currently shows Initial Review - Application received by USCIS on April 21. I have graduated in May and am presently in India. I am planning to travel back to U.S and I have the OPT receipt, Job offer letter, I-20, visa and passport. I have been told that as long as the status is pending, I can still travel on these documents. But my question is:
    1) what if the process moves and my case gets approved while I am travelling? Will that be a problem when I enter U.S? As the card will only still be in production is that alright?

    2) Most of my friends have seen that their status has changed during the first hour of the day (i.e. 9am - 10am EST) from Initial review to the last step. Is that always the case or does the process move during any time of the day? Can anyone comment on this with their experience.

    3) What is the minimum and maximum period to receive the card after the process moves to card production ordered?

I need this information real quick as I am planning my travel in the next few day. Kindly help.
