Consulting firm daughter company

Hello,
I got a call from consulting firm promising that they would place me in "Deloitte" and the start date would be next week. I haven't started marketing yet from my employer, so thought of trying for that position. I have seen the details of consultancy details in myvisajobs and found its a very old and large consulting firm with good number of H1B visas. My doubts are:
-I noticed it's a daughter company to another consulting firm. Does it create any problem at OPT extension? Should I ask them any sort of questions like whose gonna run payroll? Please let me know the precautions to be taken.
-Also, They asked me whether you need pay on w2 or annual salary. I wasn't sure. Which one is better? They are gonna pay my medical and H1 and 2 week vacation pay itseems apart from annual salary.

Please provide me details.
