Hi,
I was looking for information, if it's allowed to be on H4/L2 for good part of M.S
program and then in last semester convert to F1 and then apply for OPT
at the end (or 90 days before completion) of the course.
Does USCIS rules allow this? Lot of places i read ambiguous statements, some colleges
say as long as you are in 1 full academic year on any valid status and then change
to F1 you are allowed to apply OPT. Some univ's seem to say on F1 you have to be
for 1 year to be eligible for OPT.
Sounds very strange why each college does it differently. One college we were looking
is saying you have to be on F1 for 1 year. Any experiences please share.
Thanks,
Ravi
