Travel to India while my OPT application is still Pending

I am an F1 student who is about to Graduate in August 2014. I applied my OPT 10 days back(20th May 2014). I have an offer letter from a company with joining date as August 18 and my Program end date on my I20 is given as 12 August 2014. I plan to travel to India sometime in July first week and return on August 15 or so. I mentioned my OPT start date as 15th August in my Application.

My Questions are as follows:-

1. Will I have any problem while I re enter US if I wait till I get my EAD card( Which I mostly expect around July ) and travel with a Valid Passport and Visa?
2. The date I return will be past my Program date on my I-20. Will this cause an Issue at Immigration while re entering?

Kindly let me know your advise and experiences regarding this.

Yeah, I want to travel only after getting my EAD Card to avoid some risk, but people say still it poses some risk.
As I said I do have an Offer letter and Valid Visa, Passport and an EAD Card.

I think you will get a new i20 along with the opt card.. It is okay but risky to travel India with new i20. It is not at all advisable to travel before you get your opt card, especially with your expiring I20

As far as I know when a new I20 gets issued old I20 is no longer a valid i20

Yup, I get one.. but I am not sure which I 20 date is considered , like when giving admission they gave me my Program end Date as 12th August 2014 But OPT I-20 says its valid till next year August 14. So kind of confusion of which on ewill be dealt with

Yup I got my New I-20 I plan to travel after getting my OPT Card oly, I will assure that I will re enter with OPT Card in Hand bt if I come on August 15 th wil that cause an issue as my program has ended and my OPT has started?

if you applied 10 days back , It might take at least 1- 2 months to get your card. When you have a new I20 one dont even consider the first one.

If you travel before you start working is little risky. Talk about that with your international programs.
