Can I extend the date on OPT extension by a month ?

Hi,
I am currently on 12 month OPT which expires on October 6. I have to apply for an extension and I wanted to know is there a way to delay my extension by a month so that my OPT will end by April, 2016 and I can be eligible for cap gap for that year. So, instead of my extension to start by October 7th, can I delay it to start by November 7th or little later? Thank you.

you have to apply before oct 6 for stem ext .. and start date of it can be only oct7

After your first 12 months of OPT u need to do your extension immediately in your case your extension should start from October 7th if not you will enter in to 60 days of grace if you do not have your receipt of opt extension (i765 form) in grace period you can transfer your sevis but not to apply for extension
