The word "consultant" is often being misused. Most of the companies claim to be "consultancies" but they actually are "body-shoppers".What all they do is IT staffing, they don't take ownership of projects but still project themselves as "consultants". As per my knowledge, companies like Deloitte, Cognizant etc..are consultancies which take ownership of client's projects and work for their clients. Coming to these "body-shoppers" or "IT staffing" companies and from H1B visa point of view
1. What is the success rate of H-1B stamping when an immigrant who works for these staffing companies travel to their home country and require visa stamping?
2. Desiopt might have seen lot of desi people who start their careers in these staffing companies after completing their masters. But how long usually people continue in these companies? As we know there are lot of hicups for contractors when compared to full-time employees. Like no settled job, might have to change location once the project is completed, no leaves, no employee benefits, may get some break between projects etc..
