OPT Card Delays? Can you stay until you get your EAD card?

60-day period starts after usics has made a decision. You don't have to worry about it until they reject your opt. Opt usually takes 90 days, so you can call them after 90 days. Incase if u get a RFV u still have more time. Finally if ur opt is rejected, u will have 60 days to maintain ur f1 status that is to apply for another program as a full time student or in certain cases reapply opt.

I had the same problem and if I called uscis they told that they would take 90 days for processing and for the decision so I did not know what to do?

I got my opt card 90 days after I have applied... But would suggest to call USCIS to be on the safer side

You can directly call to USCIS after 60 days and also you will be in status until you receive a decision from USCIS. Don worry, everything is going 2 b alryt. Its just matter of time.

Address changed wont effect any delay in your opt card. May be you have given the start date late. if your documents are insufficient they wont show your status as initial reviews. The best call uscis.

It is better to talk to an attorney, please read question number 6 at http://www.desiopt.com/include/themes/custom/faq.php

OPT Card Delays? Can you stay until you get your EAD card?
I have a question regarding my OPT, I have applied for OPT in Dec before getting graduation degree, when I tracked my status it is in "Initial Review" and it is also showing that my address is changed, actually I have not changed my address, I have waited till now to see any change in the status, but there is no progress. people who applied after me also got there cards. I don't know how I can proceed further.
I have one more questions, my 60 days period will end by Feb Mid, as I have applied for OPT can I stay untill I get my EAD Card.
