Hi Everyone,
I have completed my Master's degree in Information Systems and Technology Management in Dec,2013. I had applied for OPT which started from Jan-25th-2014 and my initial 90 day period would end by Apr-25th-2014.
I have accepted a full time job offer with a big firm set to begin from June/July,2014 for which my employer have also filed an H1-B visa. My hiring manager is still working to bring my date of joining ahead of Apr-25th-2014, at this point I would like to know if there would any legal complications if I can not start my work within the initial 90 day period. Since I have not yet heard positively from him in the recent times and I doubt this happening with the really short amount of time left. I would like to know if there will be any problems in getting a 17 month STEM extension after Jan-25th-2015.
I would be really glad if anyone can help me in this regard and give me immediate suggestions.
Thanks,
Venkata Chaitanya.
