JOb on OPT

I am recent MS graduate in Information Systems Security (Cyber Security).
1) My OPT is starting soon and need some suggestions on if I should apply for entry level positions at security companies OR should I join consultancy firm and train in security related field like SAP BASIS or Networking?
2) If I join consultancy firm and use some unpaid training period on OPT, will it affect my OPT STEM extension decision? I understand extension needs to be paid job only.

2 ) if it is less than 90 days then no ..

1) You can go for consultancy if you need high pay...If interested in Sap( go for Sap- basis, Sap security) you can do the work if you sustain for 6 month in any project
2) some times we See RFE but Most of Times No issues with Opt extension
3) With in 10 days of Start Date you should provide update to your School
