For family reasons (need to take care of the kids) I would like to change my status from OPT to H4. For the first 4 months of my OPT I did an unpaid internship, but have been a paid employee with a different employer for the next several months. Employment letter from my first employer doesnt make it clear that I was an unpaid intern. When I asked for a letter clarifying the status, they refused to do so as I am not with them any longer.
My question is, how else can I prove that I was indeed an unpaid intern for the few months (4 months) if I get an RFE following my application to change the status from OPT to H4?
