OPT extension

Hi I had following doubt:

Currently I am on F1-OPT and EAD is expiring in June first week. My employer is filing for H1B premium processing. I heard that when we apply for OPT STEM extension we can work for 6 more months till the decision is pending. Is it possible to work after EAD expires and OPT extension application is pending? Thank you.

1. Yes u can. Good till 180 days from the date of expiry of your intial opt

Yes you can buddy. But make sure you apply for Capgap and get the new I20 from school

Yes, I did the same thing. You have 180 days. You should apply for STEM at the same time when H1B is being applied.
