Lost OPT Extension card


I got my EAD extension card at my home address. Since my work location is now different, so asked my friend to mail me the EAD card and the I797. He mailed through UPS, but now they are not able to trace the packet. There are high chances that the packet is missed.


1. Can I apply to USCIS for a duplicate card.
2. Any idea how much time it takes and if there is any procedure ?

You must file Form I-765 to replace an EAD

QUCK ANSWER - You need to file form I-765.
Always check USCIS website. I'm sure you aren't the 1st one to lose your EAD card. Can happen to any of us. Good luck.
