I have been reading on website on how long it takes to get opt approved. Most of them say 2-3 months. Is it faster, if I apply in the month of march? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I applied in August and it took me 2 months. I guess march might be little faster. You might want to check the time reported in http://www.trackitt.com. -

I applied last year in march and received it end of May in about 90 days.Comment

its not faster..make sure ur document reaches their place exactly 90 days (not less or more) before ur tentative OPT start date. Then you should have no problems.Comment

Processing times now a days are delayed..you can expect between 75-90 days of your applied dateComment

Also you should be aware of 30 day OPT filing rule that's strictly followed by USCIS
