Hi,
I graduated with an MS in Computer Science in December 2012.
My OPT start date was Feb 2013 and this coincided exactly with my employment at a large IT firm (in the technology department).
My employer petitioned for my H1B in April 2013, but it did not get picked up in the lottery.
So I continued working (uninterrupted) on my OPT for the same firm.
In November 2013, I applied for STEM Extension with all required documentation.
In Feb 2014, my online status changed to "Additional Evidence Requested".
I have not received the actual notice yet.
Since I have had a single employer (in a job that is very obviously related to my major) and have shown proof of that in my initial application, I am a bit confused about why I got the RFE.
This is when I realized that I had forgotten to report a change in address to my DSO.
Will this be a grounds for STEM Extension denial?
Will the USCIS ask me to provide proof of residence?
My employer is filing for my H1b again this April, but I have lost faith in the lottery system and am faced with losing employment due to a silly mistake.
Anyone with similar experiences or advice?
