Hi all,
I am in dilemma for which I need an experienced advice. I am a healthcare professional preparing for my licensing exam which needs a strong preparation (it's in April). My OPT started by mid-Feb 2014 and my 90 days unemployment period will be over by mid-May, 2014. I am in two minds - to just sit and study for my exam OR to volunteer/ find a part-time job and study along with it. I have following questions:
1. Would it be okay if I decide to just focus on my exam and start volunteering from May? (I will have almost 75-80 unemployment days accumulated by then).
2. Should I consider starting volunteer work asap and study for exam along with it? (to not have much unemployment days)
3. Does it get ever questioned (example - during H1 stamping) to have almost 75-80 unemployment days initially and then have volunteer work in your record? Overall, does this have a negative impact on H1b in any way?
4. Which is the best option for me according to you?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!!
