My agency gave me EIN(Employer identification Number) when i asked them e-verify number. Are they both same? Thanks!

Nope. EIN is Employer Identification Number, which is usually 9-digits, and it is related to company's federal tax id.
If this is for OPT extension, it is required to provide EIN number when filing through online. Also, request the agency and mention the e-verify number in your supporting documents.

You need to ask your employer for the Company ID number and not the EIN. They are different. For your STEM extension application you need to provide the Company ID number.
