Hello friends,
I applied for my OPT in November and the case is still pending. I graduated from X state college and moved to Y state while the case is pending in order to search for a job. While I am waiting for my EAD in Y state, my license was about to expire so I applied for the driver's license. I got temporary license for two months however, I had to wait for the original license to be mailed to my address. In two weeks, I received a mail where the DMV asked me the valid EAD card copy (which I am still waiting) and the University letter from Y state in order to issue a license. I did not go to any university in Y state, and I have a valid opt I-20 from X state college.
My questions are:
1. During OPT, can I get the driver's license from Y state even though I graduated from X state college?
3. I have only two weeks before the temporary license will get cancelled, so, how can I approach to the officer in order to get the driver's license when I am still waiting for the EAD card and I do not have any letter from Y university?
Please help me out with your valuable information.
