Wrong name on opt receipt

Hello,
I've received my OPT receipt. But the name on the receipt was wrong. First name was shortened. But few days back before checking the OPT receipt ..my EAD card was processed and mailed to me.( Will receive it in few days). So what if I receive the same shortened first name on my EAD card? Will I receive it in the same way as I received on receipt or will it be mentioned properly.?
Please help me with this.

Yup thats the best thing to do. My room mate also had the same problem and he notifies them and it was corrected.

Thank you for sharing your experiences....i read some reviews in google that when a name correction was requested.USCIS took more than 1 month to resend the card. will that happen? What If I continue with this EAD (with wrong name) and change it at the time of STEM extension(although it's an error made by USCIS)? Will I face any problem at that time? already the wrong name reflected on my SSN
If it is better to change it now..should I mail my EAD card back to USCIS? I may get a job in about 20 to 25 days..i'm worried that what if my EAD doesn't come to me when there is a job waiting for me?
Please help me with this..

U better to do it now .. As i mentioned it in our personal conversation ..

Better to change it now. If you don't have an SSN social security office won't ecwb issue an SSN if your name is wrong. Yes call them and send then back. They will send it in a week. If you are out of country you will face issues

Any such error should be fixed immediately. Take action now. All the best.
