Civi-Environmental Engineering graduate

Hello Friends

I will be graduating this summer semester and i am confused regarding job findings. Following are my doubts

1) My main confusion is whether to join IT consultancy or no as my major civil engineering. Will that be a problem in future ? and are there any civil engg consultancies so that i can directly join them rather than these ?

2) If i join IT consultancy will that be hampering my chances for H1B approval and OPT extension ?

3) I have seen few companies not sponsoring in civil branch.so if i join them is there any procedure to file H1b ?

Please help me to take a right step at this moment.
