Hi,
I am currently in India. I have a job offer that starts late in Feb 24,2014. But, my OPT period starts on Feb 1,2014. I want to avoid having unemployed days in my OPT period hence I am trying to get temporary remote volunteer work.
I have two questions:
My university says that post-completion OPT students "must be able to provide evidence from the employer that
they worked at least 20 hours per week during the period of unpaid employment".
1) When will I need to show this evidence and to whom?
2) Does a letter from employer stating that I volunteered with them for the said period work as evidence?
