OPT in Initial Review after 90 days

Hi All,

I submitted my OPT long back and its more than 90 days. My status is still initial review in the system. I also placed an expedite request and received an response like this:

"We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case."

I am not sure what exactly this mean and is there any way to get EAD Card ASAP?

I have similar replies on my application. First processing hold due to pending security check and then extended review ? How long it took for you to get the EAD card ? what is the current status if you haven't got it yet ?
