unemployment on opt extension

Hello,

My question is regarding unemployment when on opt extension.
I am already on opt extension, but have been unemployed for more than 120 days.
So do I need to report this to the USCIS or I should just look for another job and then update my status with them.
I am jeopardizing my legal status in US?
