OPT extension and effect on it
Hello, i recently returned from India and was not able to generate my I-94. I visited the deferred inspection site and there i was informed that for some reason an I-94 for me was not generated. They instantly generated my I-94. However, it was generated with my visit date to deferred inspection as my most recent entry date to US which is about 14 days after my actual return.
Now my question is i plan to apply for my OPT extension. Also my employers will be filing my H1B.
In the I765 form it asks for the most recent return date to the US and a copy of I-94. Which date should i mention there. I plan to mention my actual date of return which is 2 weeks prior to the date on my I-94. Doing this i show a discrepancy between the two.
Will this effect my application or should i expect a RFE.
Any suggestion would surely help?
