I think if i ask my employer he will not say no but what does the law says?

Good question actually.... As cost of OPT is very very less that is the reason most of them never think of this way and also OPT is not linked to particular employer.. Can switch to anyone at any point of time... I think as per law employer can pay but not mandatory like H1B..
