Hello,
I have some questions about my new I 20 that I am having processed for STEM extension. I am currently on OPT and it expires on Feb 2014.
1. I joined work as a part time employee in a company XXX Inc.,in April 2013. I wrongly mentioned to the international office at my university that the company name was XXX LLC,but later called them up and requested them to change it to XXX Inc. My I20 now mentions XXX LLC as an employer from April 2013 and the international students office says they cannot make the change since it was pre-populated with the wrong information I gave earlier. Should I have to submit a letter to USCIS explaining the mistake to them?
2. When I joined the firm in April 2013, I was on my first year of OPT. I did not receive an I 20 from the ISSS office around that time, indicating the employment update. Do I definitely need that I 20 when I apply for STEM extension?
