  • Incorrect start and expiry dates on EAD

    Hi everyone,

I received my EAD card for Post Completion OPT a couple of weeks back. It had the wrong start and expiry dates printed on it (They printed the same dates of my pre-comlpletion OPT). I was applying for Post Completion OPT, since i'd be graduating in a week now. I called them up, and they asked me to send my EAD back to them with a letter explaining the error. I sent these, and also attached another I765 for replacement as requested. USCIS received these documents on 29th Nov. I have an offer letter with a joining date of 13th december. Will I be able to get my correct card on time. Will there be other hassles (like asking for more documents or stuff) ??

    Please advice.

    Thanks in advance!

It will take time (Card processing will take time like a month but also depend upon conditions) and you can ask USCIS by calling that you can start work or not..

              Hi chirag,

I am facing this exact problem right now. USCIS has asked me to send my opt back for correction, so i sent it and it has been 30 days since they received my card, but i haven't received any update that my card has been received by them. It is so frustrating as no from USCIS is giving me any update either. Can i please know how long did it take for you to get any update from them, like a notification that they received your card.
please reply it is very important. Thank you.
