Going to India on OPT without F1 stamped

Hi

I am a graduate student and I have completed my Masters studies. I came to the USA on H4 and switched to F1. I have not been to India after I switched to F1, so my passport doesn't have F1 stamped.

I have applied for my OPT and I am waiting to get it. I have a job offer with me, and I am planning to go to India before I start my work. I need to get my F1 stamped when I visit India. Given this situation, is it ok to travel outside US?
Any help would be appreciated.

Even though you have your job offer, It's better to wait until your OPT gets approved and then you are all set to travel and YES you should go for stamping
