OPT Extension options after denial

Hello folks ,
I found this forum very helpful for OPT issues.I recently applied for my OPT extension and I wanted to Know about the options if I get a denial and My concerns as follows

1.Can It be okiee to apply for admission in some university before I get some result on my extension decision
2.does applying and getting I-20 will cancel my opt application ? or else will have any impact on OPT application
3.my visa got expired too suggest me keeping it in mind
I know some one out there had been thinking about same as I am ...I wanted to know the experience of folks who had gone through similar situations

I really appreciate Desi.opt for bringing all the students together and letting them help each other

2 you wont.get I20 .. u only get admission .. u Get I20 when u r sevis is transferred .. and I can be done only by u r current school dso ..

thank you so much for your reply..could you please tell me why would I dont get I-20 when apply for admission I supposed to get it right ...I am kind of naive on these issues...I would greatly appreciate if you reply early cause time is clicking
