  • Travelling on OPT Extension

    Hello,

I have OPT till June 2014. I am full time employee and visa is valid till December 2014. My employer will be applying for H1 in next April.

I want to visit India this December for 3 weeks. Can some one guide me if that is OK to plan?

Also, what Documents I need to carry and what question I might be asked?

    Thanks.

Can you please elaborate your question as this will help us to understand your situation?

    - When is the visa expiring?
    - Approx travel dates
    - Are you planning to renew your Visa?

What if the visa is expiring within a month and opt is valid up to dec 2014. Is it advisable to travel to india for 2 weeks and return back in dec 1st week ? What should be the minimum visa validity to re-enter?
