Traveling outside USA on STEM extension

I had doubt regarding traveling outside the country during STEM/OPT extension. I am currently on my STEM/OPT extension, which expires in June2014 along with my F1 visa.
My company will be applying for my H1 in April 2014, I wanted to know if I can travel outside United States of America in the month of December 2013.
